  • 911 Dispatcher

    The objective of this position is to obtain information accurately and properly process the request to appropriate individuals.

    Applicants MUST have their High School Diploma or an equivalent. Applicants MUST successfully complete the training requirements offered and requested by Jefferson County 911 and EMB Program (or equivalent) as soon as the trainings are offered.

    Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, answering incoming emergency and non-emergency calls, categorizing emergency service requests, prioritizing calls, dispatching the appropriate emergency service units, and monitoring and updating the status, providing additional support as requested.

  • EMA Administrative Assistant

    The objective of this position is to assist the Director of Emergency Services in the overall completion of required grants and budgets, update community data and recordkeeping, and also serve as the front-end reception for the Emergency Management Office and 911.

    Applicants MUST have their High School Diploma or an equivalent. 1-2 years of office experience is PREFERRED.

    Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing/maintaining financial records/reports, assisting with grant writing, coordinating trainings, and maintaining/updating databases and portals utilized within the Department of Emergency Services.

  • Prothonotary Clerk

    The objective of this position is to perform specialized departmental clerical duties and responsibilities within the department.

    Applicants MUST have their High School Diploma or an equivalent, plus some business/clerical and computer training. Applicants MUST have 1-2 years work experience in an office setting, court system preferred.

    Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the general public, updating information to the computer database, docketing and/or expunging cases when required, maintaining inventory of supplies, assisting in collecting monies due to the department, and compiling data within the department for completion of reports.
