Welcome to the Defense Attorney page. This page has been created in an effort to better serve Defense Attorneys practicing in Jefferson County. Various forms used in the Jefferson County Criminal Court system are available to you on this page. Additionally, you are able to download discovery for your criminal cases from this page. Before using this page you must read and accept the SECURITY To enter this page you must obtain a username and password from the Office of the District Attorney of Jefferson County. Your username and password are unique to you and will permit you to access your personal discovery page. Your username and password enable the District Attorney’s Office to track your visits to this secure section of this Website only and determine when your discovery was viewed. You are encouraged to keep your user name and password confidential. If your username and password have been compromised, you must immediately notify the Office of the District Attorney of Jefferson County. Your username and password will be revoked and a new username and password will be issued.

To view RAP Sheets, you must visit our office. You will need to schedule an appointment or request to see them at the criminal conferences.
Please let this serve as notice that the Commonwealth intends to present all evidence and/or testimony found within the enclosed material at the trial of this matter unless you are notified otherwise. The Commonwealth also is putting you on notice of its right to present such further evidence and call any additional witnesses not disclosed in said material so long as said material is not discoverable under Brady v. Maryland and/or Pa.R.Crim.P. No. 573.
Any and all discoverable materials in the form of tangible objects such as photographs, fingerprints or other tangible or physical evidence are available for your inspection and review only upon written request.
Also, pursuant to Pa.R.Cr.P. No. 573(A), please let this letter serve as the Commonwealth’s informal request for all items and matters discoverable in the Court’s discretion by the Commonwealth under Pa.R.Cr.P. No. 573(C)(2). Those items include:
a. The results or reports of physical or mental examinations, and of scientific tests or experiments made in connection with this particular case, or copies thereof within the possession or control of the defendant, which the defendant intends to introduce as evidence in chief, or which were prepared by a witness whom the defendant intends to call at trial, when results or reports relate to the testimony of that witness, if defendant has requested or will request and has received or will receive discovery under Rule 305 B(1)(e);
b. The names and addresses of eyewitnesses whom the defendant intends to call in its case in chief, provided that defendant has previously requested or will request and has received or will receive discovery under Rule 305 B (2)(a);
c. Any tape recording or transcript of any preliminary hearing held in connection with this matter.
d. If an expert whom Defendant intends to call in any proceeding has not prepared a report of examination or tests, the Commonwealth requests that the defendant disclose to the Commonwealth the identity of that expert and the subject matter on which expert is expected to testify, the substance of the facts to which the expert is expected to testify and a summary of the expert’s opinion and the grounds for each opinion. The Commonwealth will then ask that the Court Order that the expert prepare, and that the Defendant disclose, said report.
e. If an expert whom the Defendant intends to call in any proceeding has prepared a report of examination or tests, the Commonwealth requests that the Defendant disclose to the Commonwealth the identity of that expert and said report containing all the items set forth in subparagraph (d) above. Of course, these items are sought in addition to those mandatory items included in Rule 573(C)(1).
